Singapore Tea Festival to launch at Ion Orchard
With a trend to re-invent the tradition of tea-drinking in Singapore, the inaugural Singapore Tea Festival will run at Ion Orchard from July 21 to 23.
It will bring together 20 homegrown tea and lifestyle brands as well as indie cafes in celebration of all things tea. It aims to showcase Singapore’s growing number of local tea brands, unite tea lovers and educate the general public about the art of tea-drinking.
Festival highlights include…
Tea Market: A curated line-up of homegrown tea brands and craft makers including Brew by Amuse Projects, Gryphon, Pin Tea and The 1872 Clipper Tea Co.
Tea Room: An educational space for workshops and talks on such topics as Singapore’s tea history, the science of brewing, and tea appreciation and crafts.
Tea Museum: A showcase of the history and heritage of Singapore tea.
Teapitiam: A pop-up cafe serving a range of teas and tea-inspired food snacks from the likes of Bird Bird by Bjorn Shen, Birds of Paradise, One Kueh at a Time and Shermay’s Singapore Find Food.
Admission is free, and the festival is being presented by The 1872 Clipper Tea Co, supported by Singapore Tourism Board.
