Lazada Singapore launches mall event
Lazada Singapore today launches its first-ever offline consumer engagement event.
At JCube in Jurong East until Sunday, visitors can take part in activities with more than $15,000 worth of prizes to be won, including the Apple iPhone X. The event follows the online sales platform partnering with CapitaLand to promote online-to-offline integration.
The main feature of the event is the “anti-gravity” photo booth where visitors can take and upload pictures to social media with the chance to grab branded surprise boxes and Lazada vouchers via the “UFO” capturing machine.
As well as prizes, shoppers can win vouchers for Lazada’s annual Online Revolution sale on December 12.
Lazada Singapore CEO Alexis Lanternier says the sale will offer discounts of up to 90 per cent, plus more than 120 flash deals.
Lazada has established five “click and collect” lounges in CapitaLand malls – Bugis+, IMM, JCube, Plaza Singapura and Westgate – where customers can collect parcels and return items. The lounges also serve as collection points for sellers. Lazada aims to roll out a total of 13 lounges across CapitaLand malls by March.
Lazada Singapore hosts more than 300 official stores, with new additions including Lego, MAC, New Balance, Origins, Puma Golf, Shiseido, Sony Pictures and The Body Shop.
On December 12, brands will offer shoppers more than 50 “surprise boxes” each containing $100 worth of items but selling at $29.
Other benefits for 12.12 shoppers include free delivery and a 14-day window for returns.
In last year’s sale, shoppers ordered 2 million items.
